Re: Berra out
Now hoping the Pole is decent ........., wasn't expecting that news and it's very bad news indeed.

Emmanuel played really well at Brentford so he will do fine.

I don't want to get on the guys back but I didn't think he had a great game tbh, thought he looked a bit overawed?lucy wrote:Emmanuel played really well at Brentford so he will do fine.

Re: Berra out
Not overly concerned at this news, to be fair Berra has been a shadow of the player he was last season and it has to be said that Tommy Smith has been the better of the two in the last Three games, there is no point in all of us bigging up what a good squad we have assembled if we are going to fret over every injury that comes our way, we have to deal with it. I have every confidence in Josh Emmanuel coming in at RB, he proved at Brentford that he is more than capable at this level, after a dodgy opening 15 minutes he had a super game, Jota is a tough player to come up against and he nullified him for much of the game while assisting Bru for his goal.

Re: Berra out
We're going to get injuries but we mustn't stress over them, we have able back up. Berra will be fine but we mustn't rush him back too early we need to get these injuries addressed and treated properly.

Re: Berra out
Our current injury list would have crippled us had we suffered it last year.

Re: Berra out
Would like to see Berra and Melchaike (sl?) as our CB pairing. And Chambers is clearly better at RB than CB now, and thats not saying much!
But most of all we need a new GK! Gerkin is a wreck IMO, and the defence seem to lack any confidence in him. I would sell him and make Bart our #2

Re: Berra out
Was Berra missed today? Or was the defeat unavoidable? If this has been answered in the match day thread, I'll read it tomorrow.

Re: Berra out
Yes he was missed, even though he hasn't been as good as last season we definitely need him back.
