FIFA are proposing that all domestic leagues are reduced to 16 teams...
that's not good news for clubs such as ours.. we have the potential to be a constant top 16 side but it makes it a lot harder to get into the top flight and stay there..
I'd say if it goes forward it will be detrimental to many clubs

I dont see this being a bad thing if it was handled correctly, but it wont.
16 teams would be great for the bigger clubs, that play in the League Cup, FA Cup, domestic league, and Champions League/UEFA, but for clubs like ours it would mean the season ticket holders get to see less football, that would be great!
Also all this will mean is the top 16 teams get the £20m injection of Sky Sports money, and the 4 dropped down wont, plus the teams what are relagated that year, and it will be harder for teams such as ours to get into the premiership to get that £20m.
This all boils down to the likes of Man Utd, Real Madird, Chelsea, Arsenal... etc complaining about the amount of games. If they are getting God knows how many millions of Pounds from all these games they can afford to have bigger squads.
If this goes ahead, it will kill lower league football.

Sounds like a good idea to me, but they'd have to take away the UEFA cup place gained for winning it then (have they done that already? ).
Would give first division teams a chance to go to the Millenium Stadium and some silverwear every year at least (division 2&3 have the LDV Vans trophy remember ).
