is looking for a new club, having been told his surplus to requirements at Blackburn.
IMO he is a quality player and would be worth signing.
Thoughts???

Would be a great addition but not sure if he would need to drop to the Championship? Surely he would get offers from lower prem sides or somewhere like Reading certain to make the prem??

The guy has hardly featured the past couple of years - so why any prem club would want him or a team like reading is beyond me - however a club like Ipswich could be beneficial to both parties. He is a quality player and had it not been for his injuries I am sure he would have proven himself in the premiership.
Offer him a performance related package - this is the sort of signing which could get us motoring again!!

Well if he would consider a move to town I for one would welcome it.

Bolton and Everton are leading the chase for want-away Blackburn striker Matt Jansen. (Daily Mail)

If we could afford his wages i think we would be a good signing, hes capable of being a really good center forward and hes good at set pieces, and we could have a long term striker partnership with Sam Parkin

Before his accident, yes, now, no.
