If McGavin ever plays for us again it’s either we’ve f*cked up so badly and bought a bunch of duds OR he reinvents himself as a really good footballer.

Not having a pop at the academy, but he’s another youngster we’ve got too excited about. I’m guilty of that, too, but what else do you get hope from when you’re slipping further backwards.

Sobering thought. At the moment, we’re pretty much the same distance in the table from Kings Lynn as we’re from Norwich.

The difference is this time we have proper financial backers and an infrastructure at the club and soon, a development of our scouting network. That gap between us and the PL ( Champions League?) may soon not be pie in the sky . Six months ago many on here said a proper take over would never happen. It did. Then there was the question of us competing against Championship Clubs for decent players ( they’d never drop to league one . We did and they did …..
