After being given the run around earth on that was a good performance especially in the second half of the first half ic. That makes sense. Looking at the stats, 10 crosses into the box from Town, Nil from Southampton and thats without our croosss machine Leif Davis.

Any idea why the goal from the corner was disallowed?

Westlake suggested breathing on the keeper. Pleased for Hutchinson, he's really growing into the game.

Come on Town, we can do this
Woolfie impeding the keeper but it was very suspect.

I don’t think it will belong before we change Taylor, he’s done very little but I guess that can change verity quickly.

And wow..... Middlesborough are shyte. Their manager must be gone tomorrow if they lose tonight
I really don’t know what’s happened at Middlesbrough who finished 4th last season with many predicting a quick return to the Premier League for Michael Carrick.

Another good change by McKenna, bringing Luongo on will add more energy through the middle of the park as a second goal may be needed to win this game.

Really can’t see us hanging on to this. Having said that, we have defended really well. I thought the back line works be our downfall tonight but they’ve been excellent.
We just need another goal.

I think we will. They have to come at us now which could leave an opening on the break especially with fresh legs.

Broadhead to score a second maybe?

Burgess & Woolfie very strong in central defence tonight. Not really a poor performance on the pitch for Town.

I think we will struggle tonight, I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost by 2 or 3. Hoping not but we shall see.

Yes, we need to be more clinical I’m afraid. Much better since the goal but it could come back to bite us.

Good to see Leif Davis walking with only a slight limp. I think Williams might've taken a knock in the second half, he certainly appeared to slow up a bit.

We defended so well, just great to watch.

Well that was a bit nervy; great result. Hutchinson outstanding, didn't see much from Scarlett. We looked much more comfortable when Massimo came on.

Knocks always mend quicker when the team is playing well and you desperately want your place back in the team.

Fantastic isn't it. I read somewhere that in our last season in the Championship we only won 5 games all season! Here we are, not even out of September and we've eclipsed that already!

I think there’s a lot of it about. My friends working in schools say it’s rife.

Is the second time I’ve had it. Both times caught on a cruise. Can someone tell my wife we should just stay at home and watch the footy?

To be fair to her, we went nowhere from December onwards as she received treatment for breast cancer. I had prostate cancer until I had surgery 3 years ago so we are both survivors now. Huge thanks and respect to all the NHS workers who have been brilliant. We have so much to be grateful for.
