Very good first half and rather poor second, felt we got lucky there. Was painful to watch, very nerve wracking!

One game at a time, some difficult games for the remainder of the season.

As others have said, if you get 3 points away when you're not playing very well, then that's the sign of a good side.

Midway in the second half I was fearful that this would be Cardiff all over again - even when we're not playing well we have to get into the mentality of going for the jugular when we go in front rather than sit back. We got away with it last night but we're not always gonna be so lucky.

It's in our hands once more - all I ask is for the manager and team to be brave, the rest will take care of itself.

Terrible performance, great result.

If we hold our nerve we'll be going up automatically, perhaps even as champions. Who'd have thought that when we made an exciting, but very risky, appointment of a young, inexperienced though highly regarded, Manager. After years of languishing in the depths of despair, potential back to back promotions is fantasy stuff.

Absolutely not one single person on this forum that is for sure.

The Y4nks & Mash though ??? ....., their belief has stood the test of time.

The secret of our success isn't any brilliant individuals but it's the sum of of all the parts clicking together on a given day...and we are unplayable. Unfortunately that can be our undoing..cos if you have 2 or 3 or more players not in sync for some reason..our overall plan on the day will not materialise....as well as the opposition having our number too...by high press or general lack of space been allowed..so hopefully on Monday we will gel a lot better. Plus Southampton will play on the ground and go for the 3 points which will suit us

Southampton will have no option but to play attacking football and it is their style of play. A point for them will be useless and as you say will suit us too which should make a it a good day for the fans and those waching on tv. Can’t wait for kick off even if it is 2 days away.

Having seen Leif Davis being interviewed by Sky after the game I thought he looked distinctly under the weather and later reading Kieran McK's post match interview he said that flu had been going round the squad during the week. That could explain the lacklustre 2nd half performance and makes the 'backs to the wall' defending even more impressive. Lets hope they all recover for Monday . I can't remember Leif being substituted before this season.
