We could have done without him playing 90 mins for Wales tonight. Even worse it looks like it’s now going to extra time and penalties. Not sure we’ll get another 90 mins out of him as soon as Friday. ☹️

I put my prediction in to early I have him as first goal scorer, I will be surprised if he starts on Friday.

I can change it for you if you like. The deadline isn’t till 12 noon on Saturday.

At least he scored his penalty although it wasn’t too convincing. I can’t see Kieran handing him pen taking responsibilities, how it went in god only knows.

Not sure what some expect from this. They're playing a game of pivotal importance, they require their best and most influential players on the field and all names available that they can manage. Do you think for one moment they're concerned about respective domestic club names like ourselves when the opportunity is there with one game away to reach and participate in a major tournament.

Can understand the concern with players like Moore and Broadhead for example with regards our position in the league and push for promotion but you got to look strictly from a Welsh international perspective. It was a crucial game of paramount importance and they were going to need as many of their top or most influential players as possible to provide them a chance. You have to understand the logic in it.

It's a real shame they failed. Wanted them to win, wanted them to take part in the damn thing later this year, would have been a welcome addition along with Scots but fell short in the injustice of a penalty lottery. By all account the main match official seemed to favor the East Europeans and made a number of errors, injustice for the home team but what's done is done. Poland struggled through but (now) in with a group containing France and Netherlands, they're kind of destined to fail.

I'm pleased Broadhead & Burns won't be spending all the off season at another major championship and coming back to next season tired and jaded.

alternatively, you could say it was perfectly executed - it was as close to an unstoppable penalty as I've seen for years

Was it a combination of "perfect" execution mixed with a hint of the crossbar challenge?

I bet a bit poo came out his bumholio when he saw that rise. Then relief when it hit the underside of the bar. He was a very lucky man, at that moment.

I’d agree with that too. 👍

I was surprised Wales didn’t use Nathan Broadhead to take one of the pens last night. I assumed that’s why the manager brought him on at 112 mins. He’s our joint leading goal scorer and has scored 6 career penalties from 7 taken. Strange one that, especially when you consider that was Dan James first penalty kick since season 2016/17 and he’s only taken 2 in his career, whereas Broadhead has taken 7 inc 3 last season for Town + 2 for Wales + 2 for Everton in the Premier League, he is far more experienced and would have been a safer option.

I thought that was one of the reasons Broady came on, I would have liked Wales to qualify but it's to our advantage next season that they didn't.
Thanks for the first scorer change 👍

I guess that volunteers were asked for - that's what most managers do in this situation.

Maybe Broadhead felt he hadn't been on the field long enough to be confident about taking a penalty, maybe he was just scared shitless at the prospect - I guess we'll never know.

We certainly know one who was scared shitless which I’m sure contributed to why he missed. One of my mates text text me as he was waiting to take his kick ;

f*ck look at James, he portrays a rabbit in headlights, he’s sh*tting himself, he’s gonna miss

Any news on Keiffer Moore’s back injury. Great management by Kieran getting him off quickly to avoid any further damage.

Suspect it'll be a few days before we know anything, time for checks/scans/assesment, when the next press info is out and such. Might likely not hear until friday.

With Norwich's dodgy CB's we could really do with him Saturday but I guess we'll crack on as normal and give it our all.

Hoping it is nothing serious and KM playing a bit of mind games with the shyzers up the road, they will not want to see him on the lineup.

It is about time we done a job on them, has been a long wait and would be all the better on their own turf and put a slight dent in their playoff hopes.

COYB!!

Well watching the Reaction from the Bench he was jumping up and down celebrating so his back can't be that bad.
