Incredible achievement and deserved, very well done to KM. All I would say is this needs doing after the season has finished, just imagine if Hull went up through the play offs at our expense, I think it would look a wrong decision then.

Thoroughly deserved if only for setting a new Championship points record for a promoted club with 3 games to spare. The previous holders were Southampton with 88 points in 2011/12.

can't hand out awards when a season still has a course to run. McKenna's done great, there can be no dispute, he's been a revelation and brought pride and accomplishment back to this club name but there's still games to play and as yet nothing has been decided.

it's (highly) possible the team will get automatic promotion and if so the manager can have the honor without question, however you got to entertain the possibility we could miss out altogether. Suppose Martin at Southampton takes second place (is first still feasible) that would be a fantastic achievement, he's got to have been a candidate for the award whether they fail or make it. Just think would be more logical to present these things after a season is concluded. That way you got a clear indication of who warrants it best. Leicester coach didn't deserve to win, they just imploded at a critical time of the season and his value has fallen. Whether they make it or not.

however, for on the verge of two successive promotions and near bringing the club back to top league status for first time in 22 years McKenna is arguably a suitable choice. Just believe should have waited extra bit longer to hand these things out to gain clear or better understanding of who should take such an accolade.

I don’t think it matters. IMO there’s no comparison between what KM has achieved with Ipswich this season and one of the year 1 team managers guiding their team to promotion. However the season ends, he’s the worthy winner. Plus Russell Martin’s a knob so perhaps they factored that in with the nomination
