Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
(I) Can only feel sin and violated wishing for ANY Norwich City victory but on those VERY rare occasions such as this where it would benefit US to a certain (great) extent you have to look the other way and with some effort, hope they CAN aid us and take away points or victory from another opponent. But only when it greatly suits us, nothing more.
Didn't see the game it weren't possible but read up on Foxes Talk and Pink 'Un and seems once Leicester got themselves back into it their opponents just retreated, quit playing or a desire to win and did what they could to hold out for a point. Essentially after a promising start, they were garbage.
Still not overly worried, there's far greater concerns in life and said before LCFC appear or are too inconsistent to maybe challenge the auto promotion places. Don't think they were particularly good in that contest, just Norwich at some stage or another decided to stop trying and had a desire someplace to just hand points to their opponents.
If any good came out from it, it hurts or jeopardizes there own play-off / promotion ambitions, but with some disgust, Yes I wanted them to take victory from it.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Ellis Simms just scored his 14th goal since 1 January this year to put Coventry 1-0 up v Cardiff. This goal making him the top scorer in 2024. Definitely the man in form. If Coventry win this they’ll be within 1 point of Norwich with a game on hand and well positioned to challenge for a play off place.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
It seems like no team wants the two remaining Championship play off places up for grabs with WBA, Norwich, Coventry and Preston all losing or already lost. Sunderland getting hammered at the Stadium of Light by Blackburn.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
I think I'm right in saying Rotherham avoided their inevitable relegation today but can only escape by winning all remaining games while Plymouth lose all theirs. Oh and addressing a current 39 against goal difference difference!

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
They play away much better than at home and could just spring a surprise but I’m not banking on it. Carvalho was a great January signing for them.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Less than 10 mins left and Hull still hanging onto 1-1.
If it stays like this what an incredible Easter it will have been.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
87 mins - penalty to Leeds, totally reckless challenge.
Leeds players arguing who’s going to take it. Unnecessary added pressure.
But it’s a goal 2-1 Bollocks

Thought the same thing. Hull actually played some very good football. The foul exemplifies why it’s important to continue attacks into the opposition’s penalty box. Contact nowadays goes either way, so why not take a chance?

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Viewed the incident once around day of fixture. It was stupid and unnecessary, a number of game officials wouldn't have necessarily given the foul but you can't take a chance on tugging an opposition player back inside a penalty area. Guess the Tigers player just lost focus at a critical stage of the game or thought maybe could get away with the action in question. Could so easily have been a drawn game and some idiot spoils it in one reckless moment. One last time not every referee would appear to have given it.
Leeds got a tough trip to Coventry next up, themselves on the verge of promotion places but their minds may be elsewhere with the F.A. Cup involvement. LCFC should be expected to take three points with home advantage over Birmingham. We're the only (with Norwich) early starters for next round of games in this league, all others would appear to commence traditional 3 pm start time.

Nothing against Harry Kane, but Foden is England’s best player at the moment. He’s just scored a hatrick against Villa and there’s 20 minutes left.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Spot on. A lot of top Premiership players look entirely different when they pull on an England shirt. Whether that is down to they find the pressure of representing their country too much to handle, the players around them are not of the same calibre of those who they play with for their clubs or the manager and his tactics, who knows?
Hate to say it but I can see the current squad going the same way as the so-called golden generation, loads of potential and expectation but at the end of the day failing to deliver a trophy.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Yep, “The Press” will forever be England biggest pressure. Even more their fault than a Chellini yanking on Saka scenario.Shed on tour wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 10:13 amSpot on. The generation of Becks, Scholes, Gerrard……. How they didn’t win a WC or EC is scandalous, and the English Press did that. They do it every two years at tournaments.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Remember the days when McCarthy played Two defensive Midfielders against Rotherham at home in the hope of scraping some sort of result, jeeeez how did I stick with it, its only now you realise how low we'd sunk and how crap we were.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Interesting that Coventry & Birmingham’s goals both scored by players on McKenna’s radar, Simms and Stansfield.
Just started watching the Coventry v Leeds match and will watch the whole of the second half. If only results could stay as they are not too much damage will have been done but somehow I can’t see it happening.
It’s a worry how well Coventry and Hull are playing cat the moment as we face both teams over the coming weeks and one of these could well make the play offs and hit them in good form.
