Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Well one thing is for sure - we cannot rely on Southampton to turn up against Leeds on the last day of the season so we will have to do this ourselves (unless QPR still have any passion)...

Yep. In the immortal words of George Costanza on Seinfeld, we’re the masters of our own domain! I’ve turned it off!

Absolutely woeful, I Hope the teams we play roll over like Southampton, they're abysmal. If we don't win all Three it's the play offs.

I know saints were crap tonight..whether they jst taking it handy for play offs . But watching Leicester whizzing up and down full of energy and no break .Jesus what will our players be like so .on sat night..aftr 13 day rest probably like Elon musk rockets out of control. Lol..if I see or hear anything about a long season and looked leggy after a draw with Hull.well then something must be wrong with training techniques of mckenna lol.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Don't find much amusing about it, this is a score that can only hurt us or cause additional problems we don't need but just irritated both they and Leeds after a couple of poor results have begun winning again. Those dropped points ourselves in recent games are gonna prove real expensive if the top two continue victories in final games.
Took in a rare view of Southampton's leading fans forum and just about all are calling for Martin's head on a plate. All right it's a lousy day for them and getting beat by a significant score but up until now he's done a fine job for them and for the most part, they must have had nothing but admiration for the manager there. Couple of games back they looked an outside chance of automatic promotion but guess they've now missed that opportunity.

I agree. There’ll be no excuses if we come back like powder puffs. Even if we don’t win, I will question the players dedication to the shirt. Come out fighting and clawing, and I’ll accept whatever happens. Trust me though, if it’s lackluster I would hope we’ll ship the under performing players out. The crystal ball tells me we’ll be okay, but who knows!

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Yeah it’s ridiculous to blame the manager. Southampton have had a lot of injuries of late, just like everyone else. As much as I dislike Martin, he’s got them playing some good football. However, tonight they were sh*t.arana peligrosa wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 10:00 pmDon't find much amusing about it, this is a score that can only hurt us or cause additional problems we don't need but just irritated both they and Leeds after a couple of poor results have begun winning again. Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Everyone knows if we win our last 3 remaining games we get promotion. It would have taken long enough and then some but it's simple math isn't it, just three victories for Town and we make it, there won't be a damn thing Leicester or Leeds can do about it.
Saying that think the former may have made it already. All they need do is one more win and they're up, just bizarre when only a couple of weeks back they couldn't buy a victory and seemed destined to fall into the play off positions and miss out altogether. In reality it's between us and Leeds over who gets runner up position or actual auto promotion. Right now you got to feel it's 50/50. They got Queens Park Rangers later this week in London and that's got to be a real pressure event for them that could go either way.
It's got to be said, it can't be overlooked as much as you wish it, we now face a real possibility of playing two games against those bastards from Norfolk
for the right to be promoted by end of season. 3rd plays 6th after all and both East Anglia teams look likely to meet again before the season is finished. I don't want them again, don't want to play them, would hope to avoid such a scenario all together but after today the possibility has edged that smaller bit closer. Say smaller in fact it's something significant but it's really within our hands to avoid it.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Leeds win their last Two, if anyone thinks Russel Martin will do Ipswich any favours on the last day then think again, he won't. Its Three wins or bust I'm afraid.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
This could work in our favour. Playing with the knowledge you can afford to either lose a game or take a couple of draws doesn’t completely focus the mind. Needing three wins should. It’s still in our own hands.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
Tom.hunk we can forget Saints doing us a favour at Leeds on the last day. They’re a spent force now. Wouldn’t mind them in PO’s now if we stay in the PO’s….not that we’ll get them!

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
a drawn game next up with Coventry won't even lift the team out of third place due to superior goal difference Leeds have over us. If the latter wins against QPR at the end of week, we could really could be screwed and it's all about how we respond in our game a day or two after. It's more a psychological thing now rather than who's the best or what occurs out on the field.
can't quite abide the thought of wishing NCFC victories but if it means they finish 5th place instead of 6th and we happen to drop into 3rd by final game then f*ck it I'll take it if only to avoid them.
Leicester have lost 10 games this season which is nearly a quarter of all games in league they've played but are at the top position and on the verge of winning the league. May be in a minority but first instinct, that really doesn't read as it should.

Unfortunately, too many draws has been an Achilles heel for ITFC over the years.

Simms and Wright not starting for Coventry, a draw is badly needed.

That’s encouraging, but if you consider goal difference a draw is not enough at this point.Cabanas Blue wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 7:51 pmSimms and Wright not starting for Coventry, a draw is badly needed.

Yes, they’ll get it out of their system tonight I think. I think Simms will be a danger when he comes on, he’s on fire atm.

Re: NON IPSWICH MATCHES
It’s been coming for a while but needed a GK error. 0-1 Hull lead.
