Wow.
About to write Celina is a waste of space at this level…. then he comes up with a great finish. And Donacien… another assist. Got that wrong at HT because I thought he didn’t look so great attacking-wise.
Who doesn’t love a late winner. Nice one, Brett… lucky charm.

what the f*ck is going on, leave it for a moment and they score and now we've gone ahead again ?
yes we won it with a Celina goal in additional time. Must have been some scenes at PR when that went in, moments you can't buy.
So we very nearly threw away again a win but got the victory very late on. First reaction one of jubilation, not so much relief. Probably a bit too close for comfort for those that were there but stats indicate we were value for a victory. Would have made interesting reading had it remained 1 - 1 particularly on a rival forum but Celina erased the prospect with a very late winner.
Team is moving in the right direction after a number of adverse scores before it. Catch game highlights and further report when time permits it.

Yes it was Duagh 6 miles from Listowel but I moved to the Algarve in December 19, I've tried to change it to Cabanas on my profile without success. I lived in Duagh for 16 years the weather got me down.🌧valleyroad wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 5:00 pmJust realized your in Listowel. My wife is from Listowel. Great place and people.

That shows what you know cus Celina was crap, a liability as virtually everyone I spoke to leaving the ground concurred with, he offered nothing yes he scored the winner and we got away with it today but if that's all he offers he won't play much. Burns showed everyone what impact a sub should make.ashfordblue wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 5:04 pmGet in There Bersant your a classic man, but Blue Mike won't be happy reckons your a crap player, BUT I and others know different you can always come up with the classic goal.

Yeh Tang, But he only came off the bench in the 65th minute and he takes 25 odd mins to get going, then bangs one in, he looks and acts lazy but he has the special touch with passing and scoring.tangfastic wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 5:11 pmAsh, he was sh*te before that. Re: League 1 - Ipswich Town vs Fleetwood Town Preview & Matchday Thread
Yes, you could liken him to George Best, Ash......, (massive compliment to Bersant there)....... BUT....., Ipswich haven't got the comfort and security of allowing a player to take 25 minutes to "get going". That is the difference.

Thoroughly enjoyed that! So happy we got the win for Brett!
We did a much better job closing down Fleetwood and limiting space in the second half. Morsy is definitely the engine in midfield...as I've said before, we've lacked a player like him for so long. He rarely gives away possession, and he has great vision and strength.
Chaplin's goal was well taken. I wish we'd shoot from that position more often. Celina took his goal well...great positioning.
Walton and Donacien may have been a bit suspect for Fleetwood's goal, but it was well executed and a great header.
I love Burn's running at defenders down the right flank. I've always preferred that over predictable crosses.
I wasn't impressed with a few players, but I'm staying positive today.
Well done lads!!! COYB!!

We never do things the easy way. SBRL went mental when the winner went in. Just to round it off train stopped at Manningtree on the way home and a Norwich train pulled into the platform opposite and there were some scum fans on it and we were singing to them “Norwich get battered everywhere they go”.

Ash, I’ve just watched a replay of the goal and the goal came from a fantastic crosss-field ball from Evans ( I think) and a brilliant cushioned volleyed- cross Donacien. Celina was in the right place and took it well, but there was a lot more to the goal..ashfordblue wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 5:26 pmYeh Tang, But he only came off the bench in the 65th minute and he takes 25 odd mins to get going, then bangs one in, he looks and acts lazy but he has the special touch with passing and scoring.tangfastic wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 5:11 pmAsh, he was sh*te before that. Absolutely loving this win…… he certainly scored, but there was little else there.

Was that picture taken at a Bee Gees concert?! Celina winner but before that he was hopeless. Lightweight as usual. Like I say - hope he proves me wrong and I celebrated the winner like he was Ronaldo but at this level, he is very much a luxury player. Glad to have one but I still think we could do this without him. Having said that, we do have him so who cares!

Very much looking forward to the Plymouth game now, beat them and we're only 7 points behind them with a game in hand. I definitely prefer starting slow and building momentum to the previous two seasons where we had strong starts only to fall apart and go backwards.
Isn't it great to have hope and expectations again?

People can go on all they like about Celinas tap in from 2 inches, I prefer to praise Donacien who in the 93rd minute busted a gut to run the length of the pitch before producing a sublime piece of skill to set up the winner, he won us the game, pure and simple.

Re: League 1 - Ipswich Town vs Fleetwood Town Preview & Matchday Thread
I wouldn’t under estimate Celina’s contribution to our win, earlier we had so many brilliant balls crossed into the box and nobody positioned to put the ball in the net, but Celina’s reading of the game and positioning was absolutely perfect and without it we’d have dropped two points and the masses would have been moaning and wanting Cookie sacked.
Well done Paul Cook, well done Bersant Celina, well done TEAM

As I said we got away with it today, aside from that his contribution was poor

Re: League 1 - Ipswich Town vs Fleetwood Town Preview & Matchday Thread
This was actually a better result than the one at Pompey IMO. Fleetwood are actually a bette4 team than Pompey. Very well organised and know how to knock the ball around themselves. A bloody good 3 points IMO, and NO game in this division is easy or a dead cert.
I just wish some of the twonks on TWTD, or the Prat that left early moaning as he walked past me and Mike that
“ nothing’s changed, and ….the same old shyte”, could actually understand what this division is really all about.
I’m glad that prat who left early missed the winner and the mad celebrations that took place for several minutes after we’d scored in the 3rd minute of injury time. THATS what supporting Town is all about, and he deserved to miss “ that” feeling at the end.
COYBs 🥳

Well the next 5 league games should give us a indication on whether this recent revival in form is for real or not as we play 5 of the current top 6. Time to step up to the plate guys.

It’s a really tough run of games to be fair.I reckon any of the top six clubs would struggle with that if it was their run of matches.
I’d settle for a draw at some of them and the odd win at others.
